What is sprocket?

The excavator sprocket is the large circular ring gear in the middle of the upper and lower body of the excavator, which allows the upper body of the excavator to rotate 360 degrees freely,
Without it, the excavator can only go straight and cannot turn its head. Carrying the weight of the entire upper body of the excavator, the engine, cab, boom, and bucket are all pressed onto it. Endure all the impact forces during digging.
How to determine if the excavator gear ring needs to be replaced?
1. When turning, there is a “clunk, clunk” sound
When starting, stopping, or spinning, there is a noticeable gear impact sound at the chassis position
Turn around and make a sound, the more obvious it becomes as you turn around
90% are caused by sharp grinding, broken teeth, and large clearances in the ring gear teeth.
2. Large rotation clearance, shaking, and drifting
If you release your hand, it will shake when you get on the car
Unable to stop, inaccurate positioning
When swaying the car from side to side, one can feel a sense of looseness
Bearing wear+excessive gear clearance
3. Weak rotation, stuttering, and stuttering
The rotation is not smooth
Special card at a certain location
→ Ring gear with broken teeth, missing teeth, and damaged raceway
2、 No need to disassemble, 30 second self check method
Support the ground with a bucket and lift the car slightly
Let others push the car on both sides outside
You feel in the driver’s cabin:
There is obvious shaking and clearance → the gear ring is worn out
Not shaking at all → normal
3、 If the following situation occurs, it must be replaced immediately
Ring gear with broken teeth, missing teeth, or broken teeth
The abnormal noise of rotation is huge, and it becomes louder as it rotates
The gap is so large that it affects work and is unsafe
There are iron filings and copper powder in butter
